AnyDATA Corporation Announces New M2M CDMA Modem
IRVINE, CA, January 16, 2007 - AnyDATA Corporation today announced the release of the new EM-IV M2M CDMA modem. The EMIV is the next generation modem for the AnyDATA EM-III modem. The EM-IV provides the best-in-class modem for the machine-to-machine (M2M) application solution provider.
The EMIV is a CDMA 2000 1XRTT packet data modem with a universal RS232 interface for easy integration into any M2M solution. It has Mobile IP/Static IP features so that a fixed IP address can be assigned to the modem and allow bi-directional session establishment from either machine. It has standard SMS functions and binary data SMS capability. Its snap-in mount design makes it easy for installation and repair if required. The EM-IV is powered by AnyDATA’s own DTG2000 dual CDMA module which has been used for many integrated M2M devices in previous years.
The EM-IV is certified with every major CDMA carrier in the US and soon, the leading Canadian carriers. The M2M market in the US is growing at an annual rate of 23% with revenue from services and devices expected to surpass $8B in 2007. Some of the top M2M applications fueling this growth include Telematics, Utility meter reading, Automation & Control, Information Display, Security systems, Telemedicine, Vending, ATM and credit card terminals, Homeland security and public safety, and Public transportation.
To help drive this M2M market explosion, AnyDATA focused on the two primary drivers to augment the growth; namely, a low priced M2M modem, the EM-IV, and lower wireless service charges for accessing a M2M modem. AnyDATA now offers wireless data service plans at less than $7 per month for use with the EM-IV modem.
